How to Strip Your Laundry & Why You Need To

I got three words for you: CHEMICAL BUILD UP. After going down a rabbit hole on all things laundry detergent and laundry products I noticed chemical build up to be a very common outcome of using laundry products. If you haven't downloaded the "ThinkDirty" app yet, I would and start scanning all the laundry products in your home. If you're anything like me, you'll be amazed by how many chemicals are in everyday products such as laundry detergent.

I started ditch and switching products back in September, you can read more on why I started using Young Living on My Story page. But what about all that chemical build up? Laundry Stripping, thank you Pinterest for yet another rabbit hole. I wasn't sure what to expect but after seeing multiple individuals results I had to try it myself.

So here is the recipe I used

- 1 Cup of Nellies Laundry Soak (purchased mine on Amazon)

- 1/4 Cup of Laundry Detergent (I used Young Living Laundry detergent)

- 4 Caps of Thieves Household Cleaner (my member number is 24355928).

- Clean bathtub

- HOT HOT water

- Stir occasionally

- Soak for 2 hours

- Wash/dry per normal

* First picture is 15 min soaking / second is 30 min soaking / third is 2 hours

Is that not disgusting?! How did three pairs of pants and 2 shirt produce that much dirt? And it was dirt, trust me I had to clean the tub with my soft scrub afterwards.
