I've become slightly obessed with the idea of "I can make that myself". In full transperancy I went down a rabbit hole with cleaning products and what was in them. It's not good. I'll skip the whole two hour long explanation of why and just show you how because I dont know about you but I'm over the whole hour long blog post of explaining every detail of why a person does something. Just show me the receipe! So here you go:
TIP: GET YOURSELF A GLASS JAR
I have used a couple of different options and by far this masson glass jar has been the easiest. Big enough to make a double batch and enough that I dont have to make a new batch every week. - Mason Jar
DETERGENT RECIPE
You will need:
BAKING SODA - 1 cup
BORAX - 1 cup
CITRIC ACID - 1/2 cup
TIP: ADD ESSENTIAL OILS
I add essential oils to everything so it's not a surprise I add them to my homemade recipes. I add roughly 10 drops each Thieves, Lemon, and Tangerine. Thieves for the natural disinfectant, lemon for the natural degreaser, and Tangerine for the fresh smell.
MIX IT ALL TOGETHER
Mix everything really well and use within a month. Like I said super easy and doesnt require a lot of time. If your looking for more homemade cleaning products check out my blog post on, Soft Scrub and All Purpose Cleaner. You can purchase Young Living Essential Oils at my link HERE!
