Easy DIY homemade dishwasher detergent made with 3-4 simple nontoxic ingredients - it's super easy to make and incredibly inexpensive to make!
Ingredients
I love when I can make my own cleaning products. Dishwasher detergent has so many toxic ingredients so I have been making my own for several years now. It’s so easy to make your own with 3-4 ingredients. I use a combination of citric acid, borax, baking soda and lemon essential oils. You can find all these products at your local grocery store or you can clean on the links to bring you to my Like To Know It.
Lets Make Homemade Dishwasher Detergent
With the canister I used I have to triple my recipe. Add all the ingredients below and mix well. I mix the essential oil with a utensil to break up and mix within the powders.
1/3 cup citric acid
1/3 cup borax
1 cup baking soda
15 drops lemon essential oil (optional) *lemon is a natural degreaser plus I love the smell
This is a super easy and inexpensive cleaning product, plus it is nontoxic! Three key points I'm obsessed with. If you're interested in Young Living products be sure to check out my blog post all about Young Living . Check out my other nontoxic, super easy and inexpensive cleaning products:
